The Biography of Clare Carey

Clare Carey was born June 11, 1967. Contrary to what a lot of websites have reported of Clare being born in Rhodesia, Clare was in fact born in Zimbabwe.

Clare began her acting career at the age of 14 in Santa Barbara. She started in theatre with the help of a teacher and went to Hollywood to persue her dream where she got an agent.

Having made appearances in different shows, her break came when she landed a role in ABC television sitcom "Coach" as "Kelley Fox", the daughter of Craig T. Neslon's character "Hayden Fox". Clare appeared as a regular on "Coach" from 1989 to 1997, and then appeared occassionally up until the series ended in 1997.

From "Coach", Clare made appearances in many t.v. shows such as:

  • Walker, Texas Ranger
  • The Pretender
  • Charmed
  • Ally McBeal

From there, Clare landed a role in ABC's Family Channel Series, "So Little Time", as "Macy Carslon", the mother of "Riley" (Mary-Kate Olsen) and "Chloe" (Ashely Olson). "So Little Time" ran from 2001-2002 with a total of 22 episodes.

In 2002, Clare took on the role as "Kate McCallister", mother of "Kevin" (Mike Weinberg), in the production of "Home Alone 4".

The 2003 USA Network release of "44 Minutes: The North Hollywood Shoot-Out" included Clare appearing as the wife of "Frank McGregor" (Michael Madsen).

Continuing her career, Clare made appearances in the following television series through out 2004 to 2005:

  • "Without a Trace"
  • "Judging Amy"
  • "Stargate SG-1"
  • "Cold Case"
  • "Weeds"
  • "E.R."
  • "Night Stalker"
  • "Monk"

In 2006, Clare appeared in a movie that she helped co-produce called "Submission L.A." From there, Clare continued her career by appearances in the television series, "Point Pleasant" as character "Sarah Parker"in 13 episodes. In 2006, CBS's shortlived series "Jericho" had Clare appearing as "Mary Bailey". The series ran for 22 episodes and was cancelled only to be returned by the action of many fans of the show gathering using the internet to collaborate a bombardment of peanuts to the executives of CBS which brought the return of "Jericho" for another 7 episodes.
